A startup which provides co-working spaces, Awfis, plans to open 14 new centres

Awfis Space Solution Private Limited, a New Delhi-based co-working startup, plans to focus efforts on expansion plans in Pune.

The startup currently has 55 co-working centres covering nine cities in India. Awfis has a presence in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Noida, Kolkata, Pune, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Gurugram.

“Pune has proved to be an ideal ecosystem of startup entrepreneurs, SMEs and corporates, where Awfis is determined to continue its growth trajectory and provide best in class shared work spaces to facilitate businesses,” Awfis founder & CEO Amit Ramani said to PTI.

The company, which has had presence in Pune for a year and a half, plans to increase the number of its centres in the city to 21, according to a company official. The startup currently has 7 centres in Pune.

Providing support for startups and other businesses in a strong business environment is a main goal of the company which rents out one seat in its co-working centres for somewhere between Rs 5,000 and Rs 15,000.

Awfis, which was founded in April 2015, has plans to eventually increase its number of total co-working centres to 200.

“We aim to open 14 new centres over the next one year, taking the total capacity to 21 centres and 12,000 seats in this city,” Ramani said.

Vodafone, Hinduja Group and Michelin Tyres are among users of the spaces providing by Awfis.
